Michael W. Wolff Memorial Scholarship for the College of Agricultural, Life, and Physical Sciences

The Michael W. Wolff Scholarship was established by Michael’s family to honor him and keep his memory alive. Michael passed away in April 2004 at age 30 of a very rare cancer, rhabdomosarcoma. Michael earned his B.S. from Southern Illinois University in the College of Agriculture in May of 1996. Michael completed graduate courses in the College of Science. Through his education at SIU and the faculty who taught him, Michael ultimately worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation. Here Michael was able to pursue his passion, interest and life’s work concentrating on waterfowl and waterfowl habitat. Michael grew up with a love for the great outdoors, nature and wildlife. Michael brought that love to his work in conservation. The Michael Wolff Memorial Wetland Project, managed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), is located in the Marshall Ridge Area, Johnson County, Belknap, Illinois.
