Alumni of the SIU School of Agriculture Classes of 1950-1958 and 1960-1974

In recognition of his dedicated leadership in expanding the Agriculture program at SIU Carbondale during his tenure from 1950 through
1974, including the establishment of the School of Agriculture as a separate academic unit of which he served as the first Dean (1955-1974), the SlU Carbondale Agriculture Alumni, Classes of 1950 through 1958 and 1960 through 1974, are proud to establish the Keepper Heritage Scholarship Fund .

This endowment at the SIUC Foundation is to fund in perpetuity, with only the interest being used each year, scholarships to recruit/retain outstanding students in the College of Agriculture. In addition to the cash scholarship, each recipient will aIso be presented a certificate which will identify the scholarship as the Keepper Heritage Scholarship, honoring Dean Emeritus Wendell E. Keepper. The back of the certificate will have biographic data about Wendell Keepper and historical data about the establishment of the School of Agriculture along with a statement about contributions to the scholarship fund.
