Barbara S. Butterfield, Ph.D.

Dr. Butterfield earned her doctorate from SIU Carbondale in 1985, completing dissertation research in downsizing/organizational optimization in higher education. In the years since, Dr. Butterfield has served as the chief human resource executive for some of the finest institutions of higher education in the US including Penn, Stanford and Michigan. Retired, she now provides executive consulting for Michigan, is a seniour consultant for the international consulting firm of Segal/Sibson, One Park Ave. NYC and is a facilitator/educator for the ADVANCE faculty development programs of the NSF and COACh.
