Charles G. Russell, PhD

Dr. Charles Russell earned three (3) degrees in Speech Communication from SIU Carbondale: a 1959 BS from the College of Education, a 1965 MS and a 1971 Ph.D. from the College of Communication. Dr. Russell is a retired Professor of Communication from the University of Toledo where he served as Chair of the Communication Department and Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy concurrently for 10 years. Dr. Russell’s scholarship is in memory of his son, Mark, who was a twenty-year old University of Toledo Political Science major when he died in 1983.
