Dr. Beverly J. Love

The Dr. Beverly Love and Mr. Wyatt Wallace Single Parent Scholarship was established by SIU alumna Dr. Beverly J. Love. She was awarded the 2014 National Education Association Foundation Award for Teaching Excellence by the Illinois Education Association and California Casualty Insurance Company. As co-sponsor, California Casualty presented a check that Dr. Love and son, alumnus Wyatt A. Wallace, requested be designated as a scholarship for Radio, Television, and Digital Media students who are single parents. Dr. Love is a 2009 graduate from SIU College of Education’s Curriculum & Instruction Ph.D. program and Wyatt Wallace is a 2006 graduate of the Radio, Television and Digital Media’s Media Management undergraduate program and a 2008 SIU Master of Business Administration graduate.
