Dr. Theodore F. and Mrs. Mattie J. Harvey

Theodore and Mattie Harvey would like to honor the legacy of Mary Beimfohr. Mary began working for SIU in 1957. She served as Assistant Coordinator in the Financial Assistance Center from which she retired in the mid-1970s. Mary was a selfless individual who placed students’ well being first. Theodore recalls a time when Mary helped him financially when he was down on his luck. This was around 1957 and he would have had to leave school without her help.
