Mr. Bob Richter

Mr. Bob Richter is an independent contractor working as a Laborer Arbitrator for the National Mediator’s Board. He began work with the Illinois Centra Railroad in 1967 for which he held various positions in the Labor Relations Department, including serving as a Vice President before leaving in 1991 to begin work in his current position. Mr. Richter was awarded the Kenneth N. Pontikes Award for Excellence in Philanthropy at the SIU Foundation’s 2000 Obelisk Dinner held in Chicago. He has served as a member of the SIU Alumni Association board of Directors. Mr. Richter graduated with a BS (67) for the College of Business and Administration, majoring in Management. He has been a co-sponsor of the Chicagoland Golf Outing with fellow SIU Foundation Board member, George Loukas.
