This fund is being established by Kenneth H. and Amy M. Hannah in support of students majoring in business at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Ken and Amy are very generous in sharing their time, talent and treasure to help business students at SIUC with an emphasis on students that have financial need that may be a deterrent to attending or completing college.

Kenneth Hannah was named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Brown Shoe Company on February 16, 2015. He has the responsibility for the company’s finance, accounting, treasury, external reporting, tax, real estate and investor relations functions. He is based at Brown Shoe Company’s corporate headquarters in St. Louis. Before Brown Shoe company, Ken served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of JC Penney Company, Inc. Prior to that time, he served in multiple executive roles at SunEdison (formerly MEMC Electronic Materials), including president of Solar Energy and of Solar Materials and as vice president and CFO. Hannah also held executive positions at The Home Depot, and these included senior vice president of Operations, senior vice president of Finance, and vice president of Financial Planning and Analysis. Earlier in his career, he served in various finance roles of increasing responsibility at The Boeing Company, General Electric Company and McDonnell Douglas Corporation. Hannah holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Business Administration from St. Louis University.
Ken attended Southern Illinois University where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. In 2002, he was inducted into the SIU College of Business Hall of Fame, was the Commencement Speaker and the Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award recipient. He is a member of the College’s External Advisory Board. He received his Master of Business Administration degree from Saint Louis University specializing in International Business.
