Mr. Paul E. and Mrs. Karen S. Miner

Paul E. and Karen S. Miner established this scholarship in support of the first comprehensive campaign at Southern. Paul was born in Chicago, but grew up in Johnston City. After graduating from Johnston City High School in 1962, he attended SIU and completed his bachelor’s degree in Business and Administration. He began a career with General Telephone in Marion on December 20, 1965. On January 1, 1966, he married Karen Sanders, also a native of Johnston City.
