Mr. William Recktenwald

William Recktenwald practiced journalism since 1966, starting as in Investigator for the Better Government Assoc. he worked in tandem with the news media. He reported stories that have increased minority rights for Chicago voters, led to nursing home reforms, focused national attention on youth violence with a resulting decline in violent crime, and exposed abuse of the poor by ambulance services. Two of these series were honored with Pulitzer Prizes.
