Mrs. Cynthia T. Rice

Lida Lisenby Taylor was a lifelong resident of Tamaroa, Illinois. She graduated from SIUC in 1942. She began her teaching career in Tamaroa schools and continued at Duquoin High School where she taught Latin and English, until her retirement in 1968. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Duquoin as well as the Retired Teachers Association of both Perry and Jefferson counties. Throughout her lifetime, she maintained her passion for students and for educational assistance.
