Mrs. Jane G. Spackman

The Robert R. Spackman, Jr. Memorial Award was established by Jane Spackman to honor her late husband and benefit graduate students in Kinesiology. Robert “Doc” Spackman, a long time employee of SIU Carbondale, began his career as an athletic trainer serving SIU Athletics until he moved to the Student Recreation Center to focus on fitness for the entire University and Carbondale community.
