Ms. Suzanne L. Garoian and Mrs. Diana L. Garoian

Ms. Suzanne L. Garoian and Mrs. Diana L. Garoian would like to honor the memory of Dr. George Garoian, a professor in the Department of Zoology from 1956-1987. Dr. Garoian received his bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and both his masters (1951) and doctorate (1956) from the University of Illinois. Dr. Garoian was born July 23, 1927, in Deadwood, South Dakota. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Dr. Garoian was active in many professional zoological and biological organizations.
