Sharon L. Krudl

James M. Krudl taught Automotive Technology at the Technology Center of DuPage, formerly DAVEA, for 30 years before his retirement in 2005. Jim always had a smile for everyone and was easy to talk to. He worked hard for his students to have one of the best NATEF Automotive programs in the state of Illinois. Jim always felt he owed his successful career to SIU where he earned his bachelors and master’s degrees and was a huge supporter of their automotive program. Jim was not only a teacher to his students but a role model, fatherly image and to some, a lifelong friend. Grads of Jim’s program who return to visit all say, “if it weren’t for Jim Krudl, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
