Barbara Brown Memorial Scholarship

Recipient must be a continuing or incoming student, in good standing, who intends to be enrolled at SIU the following semester unless graduating. The student shall articulate or demonstrate interest in using his or her education in furtherance of public service or the public good as determined by those making the selection.

Preference will to be given to a student with a high school diploma from an accredited school in the following Illinois counties: Alexander, Bond, Calhoun, Clark, Clay, Clinton, Crawford, Cumberland, Edwards, Effingham, Fayette, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Jersey, Johnson, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Massac, Monroe, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Richland, Saint Clair, Saline, Union, Wabash, Washington, Wayne, White, and Williamson.

Preference may also be given to a female student demonstrating financial need.
