SIU Alumni Association Textbook Award

The SIU Alumni Association awards 25 textbook awards to students each year for the Fall and Spring semesters. To qualify, a student must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, have a FAFSA on file, and show ‘financial need’ based upon their FAFSA application. To apply, a student must complete the General Scholarship Application and submit an essay, not to exceed 250 words, explaining why they want to be a Saluki! This award is $500/semester for the Fall and Spring semesters only. This will be in the form of a University Bookstore credit, only to be used for the student’s textbooks. In the event the student does not use their full $500, the money will be placed back in the Association’s account.
