Roscoe Pulliam Memorial Scholarship

The Roscoe Pulliam Scholarship Fund (established in 1953 by the late Mabel Pulliam and later restructured by his family), is a memorial in honor of Mr. Pulliam, the 6th president of SIU, and the dedicated students, faculty, citizens and community leaders who in 1937-1945 conceived and fought for what is now known as Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Applicants shall be children (natural or adopted), grandchildren or siblings of SIU Carbondale alumni. Awards may be made to entering freshmen, undergraduate or graduate students, that display good character and worthy and in need. This scholarship shall be based on academic merit and not for athletics or extracurricular achievement. Individuals related to the Board of Directors or full time staff of the SIU Alumni Association and SIU Foundation are ineligible.
