  • Scholarship for a current student at SIU School of Law whose hometown is in the Southern District of Illinois as defined by the U.S. District Court. This includes the following Illinois counties:
    Alexander, Bond, Calhoun, Clark, Clay, Clinton, Crawford, Cumberland, Fayette, Edwards, Effingham, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Jersey, Johnson, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Massac, Monroe, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Richland, Saline, St. Clair, Union, Wabash, Wayne, Washington, White, and Williamson.
  • Recipients must be in the top 50% of their class, demonstrate financial need and a commitment to pro bono work.
  • Applicants must submit an essay regarding their perspective on the role of lawyers in society.
