Gloria Dean Battles Scholarship

The Gloria Dean Battles Scholarship was established by Candice McCloud. Candice graduated from SIU Carbondale with a degree in marketing in 2007. She credits her education and mentors at SIU for beginning a successful career at Aldi Inc. Candice wanted to establish this scholarship to help give business students at SIU some financial assistance to make it easier to obtain a degree. Candice and her family wish to honor their mother and grandmother respectively who was an inspiration in their lives.

• Scholarship for a junior or senior in the College of Business & Analytics with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
