Kern-Straumanis Graduate Assistantship

The Kern-Straumanis Graduate Assistantship was established in honor of Dr. Ron C. Kern, who served as director of Dr. Elwell’s thesis committee and also as a mentor to Dr. Elwell. It is also named in honor of Dr. Alfreds Straumanis, director of Dr. Elwell’s dissertation committee and also a mentor to Dr. Elwell. Dr. Elwell feels that both men are responsible for any success that he has enjoyed.

• The recipient shall be an incoming or current graduate playwriting student to be employed in the Department of Theater.
• The recipient must also have a minimum GPA of 3.3.
