John C. Mitchell Scholarship

Dr. John C. Mitchell was born Sept. 23, 1945, in Blue Earth, Minnesota. A graduate of Cokato Minnesota High School, John attended St. Cloud University in St. Cloud, Minnesota, but received his BA and MA from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami in Miami, Florida in 1977. He practiced in Wichita, Kansas, and Mesa and Phoenix, Arizona. According to his friends and loved ones, John was a humble and modest man with a large affinity for Southern Illinois University and a generous heart.
