Camille Hickman Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Camille Joan Hickman, a 2001 graduate of SIU Carbondale, majoring in Paralegal Studies. Camille Hickman died August 3, 2004, from injuries sustained in a July 2004 car accident.

  • Scholarship for a junior or senior majoring in Paralegal Studies.
  • Recipient must a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 and be a current member of the Organization of Paralegal Students.
  • Recipient must have had success in reaching this stage of their education after having overcome some type of substantial personal challenge.
  • Applicants must submit an essay (500 words max) describing the challenge(s) they have overcome.

  1. In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must submit an essay no longer than 500 words, describing a challenge or challenges that you have overcome. These may be related to financial matters, family, work, or physical challenges or may be something else of your choosing.
