Naversen Theater Production Scholarship

The Naversen Theater Production Scholarship was established to provide scholarships for undergraduate Design and Production students in the Department of Theater at SIU Carbondale. Design and Production students work on most, if not all, productions throughout the academic year with little opportunity to work outside to support their college careers. This scholarship has been established to provide some financial support for these students ,allowing them to concentrate on their college education and theater training.

Ronald Naversen is an alumnus of SIUC receiving his Ph.D. in Speech Communication with an emphasis in Theater History. He was also Professor of Scenic Design in the Department of Theater at SIU for 29 years.

• Scholarship for students interested in a career in Theater Design and Production.
• Recipients must be actively engaged in taking courses in these areas and working on departmental productions.
