Ryan McShane Hope Flys Scholarship

The Ryan McShane Hope Flys Scholarship was established to recognize students with a strong involvement or commitment to overcoming adversity. Ryan McShane, a 2000 graduate of Aviation Flight at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, was a successful aviator at the top of his career and fights every day to overcome colon cancer. Instead of giving up, Ryan has charged forward using a positive attitude to beat this life-threatening disease. All he asks is for his story to inspire others.
