The SIU Alumni Association awards 30 textbook awards to students each year for the Fall and Spring semesters. To qualify, a student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, have a FAFSA on file, and have a maximum Student Aid Index (SAI) of $5,000.
To apply, students must complete the General Scholarship Application and submit an essay, not to exceed 200 words, explaining why they want to be a Saluki!
This award is $500/semester for the Fall and Spring semesters only. This will be in the form of a University Bookstore credit, only to be used for the student’s textbooks. In the event the student does not use their full $500, the money will be placed back in the Association’s account.
