The SIU Alumni Association awards 30 textbook awards to students each year for the Fall and Spring semesters. To qualify, a student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, have a FAFSA on file, and have a maximum Student Aid Index (SAI) of $5,000.
To apply, students must complete the General Scholarship Application and submit an essay, not to exceed 200 words, explaining why they want to be a Saluki!
This award will be in the form of a University Bookstore credit, only to be used for the student’s textbooks. In the event the student does not use their full award, the money will be placed back in the Association’s account.
