Kate Burkhart Archaeology Scholarship

The Kate Burkhart Archaeology Scholarship was established by 1938 alumnus Kate Burkhart Daniel. Mrs. Daniel’s grandfather, James Monroe Burkhart, was a Trustee of Southern Illinois Normal University around 1895 and her father, Carl Burkhart, was an 1897 graduate.

  • The Kate Burkhart Archaeology Scholarship is given to an undergraduate anthropology major who has a specialization in archaeology.
