Chris Jones Memorial Scholarship

The Chris Jones Memorial Scholarship was established in 2004 by Gail and Randy Jones and Chris’ brothers and sisters in Pi Sigma Epsilon. This Award was founded in memory of Christopher J. Jones, 23, of Marion whose outstanding leadership, quiet confidence and zest for life, made him a friend to all he met. Chris began his education at SIU Carbondale in the fall of 2000 and graduated with a degree in Marketing in December of 2002. Chris was an active member of Pi Sigma Epsilon and Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.

After graduation, Christopher went to work for Team Enterprises USA in California where he worked in marketing. His life was tragically cut short in a drowning accident on the Current River in Missouri during the summer of 2003.

• Scholarship for a full-time senior in the College of Business and Analytics
• Recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
• Recipient must be actively involved in a College of Business & Analytics registered student organization (RSO) and must display unusual leadership abilities throughout their career at SIU
• Must have a letter of recommendation from the faculty advisor of their RSO detailing their leadership achievements.
  

If you are chosen as a finalist, you must be prepared to submit a letter of recommendation from the faculty advisor of an RSO of which you are a member.
