Zoology Summer Graduate Scholarship
- The Zoology Summer Graduate Scholarship is intended to allow an outstanding student who would not otherwise have stipend support over the summer to continue work on the thesis-dissertation project during that time and accelerate progress toward the degree.
- The scholarship will be awarded to one active graduate student who is enrolled for at least half-time status during the summer session.
- Eligible students must be enrolled in the Zoology MS or PhD programs and have active (not continuing) enrollment status during the incoming Summer Session.
- Candidates for the scholarship must be nominated by their major professor and may not hold a graduate assistantship, fellowship, or Dissertation Research Award for any part of the summer session.
- Candidates may not be delinquent on any benchmarks required by the department and preference will be given in the following order: PhD candidates, pre-candidacy PhD students, and MS students. If nominated, students will be required to submit a complete curriculum vitae and a statement describing summer activities facilitated by the scholarship that accelerate progress toward the degree.
