Lloyd C. McDaniel Memorial Scholarship
The Lloyd C. McDaniel Memorial Scholarship was established by Zenetta McDaniel Coleman in 2014 to honor her late grandfather, Mr. Lloyd C. McDaniel. Mr. McDaniel, originally from Pulaski, Illinois, moved to Carbondale after serving in World War II. He retired from Southern Illinois University as a civil servant and had a great love for agriculture, specifically a love for his flower and vegetable garden. Mr. McDaniel ,vas a man of great character and unselfishly shared this passion with young people along the way. It is for this reason that Zenetta chose to honor the memory and life of Lloyd C.
