Keith Wendland Basketball Scholarship

Ms. Nancy Schuch established the Keith Wendland Basketball Scholarship in honor of her late cousin, Keith Wendland. Keith was a 1977 graduate of Southern Illinois University. He was an avid sportsman with interests in baseball, “a true Cubs fan,” fishing, and his biggest love was Saluki basketball. Keith enjoyed his experience at SIU so well he continued to follow men’s basketball long after graduation. He served on the SIU Alumni Association Board of Directors from 1989 through 1998. He served on the executive committee as Treasurer from 1991 to 1993.

  • The Keith Wendland Basketball Scholarship will be awarded to a member of the men’s basketball team.
  • Recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
