Dr. W. D. Klimstra Reclamation Research Fellowship

  • Fellowship for a graduate student in Zoology seeking advisement and placement in the Cooperative Wildlife Research Laboratory.
  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and competitive GRE scores.
  • Applicants must submit a two-page statement discussing academic and professional goals, including an outline of graduate research objectives.

  • Fellowship recipients will be assigned a ten-hour per week research assignment that will provide professional development opportunities for the student, and be of value to the Cooperative Wildlife Research Laboratory and Department of Zoology. The research assignment will be consistent with the students educational objectives. The Director and the Fellow’s advisor will determine the research assignment and monitor the student’s progress.
  • Fellowship recipients are required to register for a minimum of nine (9) graduate credit hours for fall and spring semesters and three (3) graduate credit hours for summer.
  • A recipient can receive the fellowship for a maximum of 48 months. Annual renewal will be dependent upon maintenance of satisfactory progress as reflected by a minimum 3.0 GPA and submission of semiannual reports to the Director of the Cooperative Wildlife Research Laboratory.
