College of Business & Analytics CFA Scholarship
The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential has become the most respected and recognized investment designation in the world. The CFA Program curriculum covers concepts and skills that will be used at all stages of a finance career, bridging academic theory, current industry practice, and ethical and professional standards to provide a strong foundation of advanced investment analysis and real-world portfolio management skills.
The CFA Program includes a series of three exams: Level I, II. and III. These exams are offered annually at testing centers around the world. These exams must be passed sequentially.
Several distinguished SIU alums in the field of finance as well as companies and recruiters have emphasized that SIU students need to be candidates at the time they send their applications/resumes in for a job to make them more desirable in the candidate search pools. These alums have also offered to support a scholarship such as this.
- Recipient(s) must be a College of Business major, with an overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- Recipient must also have senior standing or be a graduate student.
- Applicants will submit an essay of no more than one page, including such topics as, but not limited to, professional goals, and how the CFA will help them reach those goals.
