Scholarships for students majoring in Nursing who are from one of the following southernmost counties in Illinois: Alexander, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Massac, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, White, or Williamson.
Applicants must submit a personal statement discussing why they are interested in receiving this scholarship, at least one letter of recommendation, and a resume outlining school, work and community involvement.
Recipients will complete clinical rotations, shadowing experiences, or internships within the Deaconess Illinois system when appropriate for their discipline, providing a meaningful introduction to patient care and clinical operations and will be guided toward employment pathways and expected to apply within the Deaconess Illinois Health System.
