Linda Henson was a photojournalist whose career began with an intense interest and early aptitude for a photography that blossomed at the Daily Egyptian at Southern Illinois University. As a professional at the Peoria, Illinois Journal Star newspaper, Linda’s award-winning photography captured the common and uncommon joys, triumphs, battles, and sorrows of people in all walks of life. The scholarship is designed to support student photographers who plan a career in photojournalism.
