Mr. James A. Haworth

This fund is being established by the Donor to assist students financially to attend Southern Illinois University Carbondale and to explore the opportunities available to students studying Industrial Technology in the College of Engineering.

The Industrial Technology program at SIU Carbondale allowed the Donor to further his education at a time when an Associates Arts and Science degree was of little value. The donor establishes this endowment in memory of his parents, Roger and Ann Haworth. Their financial sacrifices made it possible for him to attend SIU Carbondale. The endowment also remembers the donor’s friend and mentor, Professor Carlyle G. “Corky” Ott.
