Tommy Thaviu Radio-Television Scholarship

The Tommy Thavau Radio-Television Scholarship Endowment is designed to support students in the Radio-Television Department who plan a career in Radio or Television. It seeks to recognize students who demonstrate a passion and potential for a career in the media industry.

Tommy Thaviu attended SIU from 1974-1978. Mr. Thaviu has worked as an editor several major Chicago post-production facilities. More recently, he has been directing and editing for his own business in Chicago.

• Scholarship for a junior or senior majoring in Radio, Television, & Digital Media who has demonstrated financial need, as determined by the SIU Financial Aid Office.
