Sue L. Nguyen Scholarship

The Sue L. Nguyen Scholarship was established by Bich Nguyen, the sister of Sue L. Nguyen, an alumna of the College of Education and Human Services who passed away in 2011. Bich is the executor of the Sue L. Nguyen Management Trust and, as the executor, is establishing this fund in order to provide support to the College in remembrance of the significant impact Southern Illinois University Carbondale had on Sue L. Nguyen’s educational experience as a new resident of the United States, as well as to her professional career and advancement.

It is Bich Nguyen’s intent as executor of the Sue L. Nguyen Management Trust to establish this account to assist students in similar circumstances as her sister’s when attending Southern Illinois University.

• Scholarship for full-time undergraduate students in the School of Education.
• Continuing students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, which must be maintained to qualify for renewal.
