The Dr. William R. and Mrs. Mary Alice Hamilton Scholarship was established by Dr. and Mrs. Hamilton to support SIU Carbondale students who are also veterans of the U.S. Armed Services.

This scholarship is made possible by the generosity of Wrophas and Dianne Meeks. Dr. Meeks is an SIU Carbondale graduate and distinguished radiologist in Carbondale, IL. The Meeks family is a longtime supporter of education for African-Americans.
